White Castle rebounded from District 9-1A losses to Ascension Christian 16-5 on Tuesday and Ascension Catholic 19-4 on Thursday to defeat Southern Lab 11-4 on Saturday before falling to St. John of Plaquemine 23-4 on Tuesday.

The Bulldogs (5-14, 1-6), under coach Corey MaGee, host West St. John Thursday before traveling to Scotlandville on Friday, hosting Southern Lab on Saturday and wrapping up the regular season Tuesday at East Iberville.

Damicah Carter was 3-for-3 with one run and RBI against Ascension Christian while Dontrell Taylor was 1-for-2 with two runs and Robert Franklin was 1-for-3 with two runs.

Franklin took the loss against Ascension Cath­olic. Franklin also hit a triple and scored two runs. Brandon Foster was 3-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

East Iberville fell in district play to Ascension Catholic 22-0 last Tuesday and to Ascension Christian 14-4 this Tuesday.

The Tigers (1-14, 0-6), under coach Ron Allen, host St. John Thursday, Broadmoor Saturday and White Castle Tuesday.


White Castle concluded the regular season with a 13-12 District 9-1A loss to Ascension Christian on Monday after falling to Ascension Catholic 16-0 and 13-0 in a doubleheader last week.

The Lady Bulldogs, under coach Shelly Hudson, finish the season with an overall record of 4-15 and district mark of 3-7.

East Iberville wrapped up the season with a 20-0 loss to West St. John Thursday and finish the season 0-10.
