White Castle used a 26-4 run in the second half to overcome Plaquemine 47-33 in the boys' finale of the Placid Refinery Iberville Parish Basketball Jamboree on Thursday night at PHS' gym.

The Green Devils led by as many as six to open the 10-minute half before the Bulldogs drained six three-pointers during the run.

East Iberville rolled over St. John 47-10 in the first boys' game after taking a 34-6 halftime lead.

DeAndre Bellock had a game-high 19 points for White Castle under first-year coach Troy Green. Swayne Edwards added 16, Samson Westley had seven, Shawn Williams provided three and JaCory Washington two.

Davon Godchaux led the Green Devils under first-year coach Kirby Loupe with 13 points. Devante Marshall added seven, Justin Randall and Clifton Young each four and Louis Conerly three.

Lamont Kerr and Frank Broussard each had eight to lead East Iberville under coach Doug Schultz. Quantiz Johnson, Devin Johnson and Kyien Popular both added six while Jayden Redditt had four and Darryl Ingram, Jachia Scott, Anthony Sanchez and Tyler James each had two and Brayden Dailey one.

Brennan Miller led St. John under first-year coach Kade Thibodeaux with three points. Benjamin Poirrier, Gavin Primeaux, Hayden Hemenway and Gavin Landry each had two.

Bellock's pull up trey from the right wing put White Castle ahead for good after his dunk off a steal tied it. Edwards' dish to Westley for a 3-pointer on the left wing gave the Bulldogs a 34-27 lead.

Edwards' assist to Williams for another 3-pointer sandwiched Bellock's pull up jumper and trey, the later giving White Castle their biggest lead 45-29.

Godchaux's turnaround jumper cut it to 45-33 after Conerly's spin.

White Castle jumped out to a 5-0 lead courtesy Bellock's spin and Edward's 3-pointer from the top of the key. Godchaux's three-point play and pump fake knotted it up before Bellock's pull up jumper.

Randall's transition basket, Godchaux's putback and Marshall's drive each gave the Green Devils the lead before Edwards' pull up trey near the top of the key cut it to 17-16 going into the half.

Young's putback and inside basket put Plaquemine ahead 21-17 to open the second half before Marshall's baseline drive and basket off an offensive rebound increased the lead to six but Edwards answered with a 3-pointer from the top of the key to start the run before a three-point play after Charleston Spears fed a driving Godchaux.

East Iberville jumped out to an 18-0 lead in the previous game. Broussard fed Redditt in transition to open the contest before Redditt's layup off a steal and Broussard's 3-pointer from the left wing.

Quanitz Johnson's back-to-back layups off steals preceded his dish to James off another. Devin Johnson followed with another layup off a steal before a baseline floater.

Poirrier fed Hemenway in transition to put St. John on the board. Miller's 3-pointer from the right wing cut it to 30-6 after Kerr's baseline jumper and transition basket. Ingram's putback at the buzzer put the Tigers ahead by 28 at halftime.

Kerr's reverse and transition basket reflected the final tally after Landry's floater.
