Tigers fall to WFHS in Wedge Keys final

LHSAA Class 1A East Iberville advanced to the championship game of Baker's Wedge Keys Tournament with victories over Clark Prep 72-39 on Thursday and 2A Northeast 78-70 on Friday but ultimately fell 69-58 to 3A West Feliciana on Saturday.

The Tigers (6-6), under coach Doug Schultz, also defeated Class B Hosanna Christian 80-62 to open the week on Monday. East Iberville traveled to Class C Family Christian on Tuesday before hosting 1A Christian Life on Thursday.

Jayden Redditt led the Tigers with 14 against West Feliciana. Tyler James added 12 and Frank Broussard 11. Erwin and Evan Whitaker each had 14 for the Saints, which led 29-28 at halftime.

James had 15 against Clark Prep and Redditt and Broussard each added 10.

East Iberville led 19-12 going into the second quarter and 40-29 at halftime against Hosanna before taking a 61-44 lead into the fourth.

Dailey had 16 points to the lead the Tigers. Redditt added 14, James 12, Ingram 11, Broussard eight, Kylen Popular seven, Devin Johnson and Quante Johnson each four and Lamont Kerr two.

Gerald Johnson led Hosanna with 19 points, E.J. Plain added 18 and Monterro Whitfield 16.

Ingram had two 3-pointers and Redditt, Broussard and Popular each one.
