Plaquemine defeated 4A Assumption on the road 51-40 on Monday before hosting Tara Friday to open District 6-4A play.

Plaquemine (9-5), under coach Kirby Loupe, began hosting the Green Devil Classic on Wednesday.

East Iberville defeated Family Christian 84-64 on Tuesday on the road before falling to Christian Life 88-50 on Thursday at home.

The Tigers (7-7), under coach Doug Schultz, began play in the Madison Prep Academy Tournament today.

White Castle fell to 1A Central Catholic 70-64 on Monday at home and participated in the St. James Tournament Friday.

The 1A Bulldogs (3-8), under coach Troy Green, are scheduled to host Assumption Jan. 2.

St. John fell to 4A Lutcher 73-35 on Tuesday at home.

The 1A Eagles (0-9), under coach Kade Thibodeaux, began play in the Green Devil Classic at Plaquemine on Wednesday.

Christian Life 88,

East Iberville 50

Christian Life jumped out to a 17-11 first quarter lead and extended it to 41-23 at halftime before taking a 68-33 lead into the fourth.

Jayden Redditt led the Tigers with 13 points. Tyler James added eight, Daryl Ingram seven, Javonta Sherman and Braylen Dailey each six, Frank Broussard five, Jachai Scott and Lamont Kerr each two and Junius Chong one.

Jonathan Stove led the Crusaders with a game-high 25 points.

Lutcher 73,

St. John 35

Lutcher led 13-6 after the first quarter and 32-16 going into the half before taking a 45-28 lead into the final frame.

Priceton Young led St. John with nine points. Brennan Miller and Hayden Hemenway each added eight, Gavin Primeaux seven, Bailey Whittington two and Tyler St. Germain one.

The Bulldogs were led by Tyshon Jackson with 19 and Brendon Taylor with 18.


White Castle defeated 3A Donaldsonville 47-27 for their fifth straight victory on Tuesday and hosted 5A Walker on Friday.

The 1A Lady Bulldogs (8-5), under coach Tammy Washington Pierce, begin play in a tournament at Assumption on Thursday.

East Iberville defeated 5A Dutchtown 45-30 on Thursday at home after falling to 5A East Ascension 53-46 on Monday.

The 1A Lady Tigers (6-9), under coach Cormanda Grace-Green, begin play in the St. Amant Tournament on Thursday.

St. John defeated 1A Catholic of Pointe Coupee 54-20 on Tuesday at home before falling to 2A Dunham 30-29 on Wednesday at home.

The 1A Lady Eagles (4-8), under coach Chase Mancuso, begin play in a tournament at Episcopal on Thursday.

Plaquemine fell to 3A Independence 47-44 on Thursday and hosted Tara on Friday to begin District 6-4A play.

The 4A Lady Green Devils (3-8), under coach Brannon Dillon, begin play in a tournament at Denham Springs on Thursday.

White Castle led 17-3 going into the second quarter and 30-10 at halftime before taking a 42-16 lead into the fourth.

Erica Jones led the Lady Bulldogs with a game-high 18 points. Skylar O'Bear and Shylar O'Bear each added 11. Patrice West led Donaldsonville with nine.

East Iberville 45,

Dutchtown 30

East Iberville outscored the Lady Griffins 20-4 in the fourth quarter after trailing 11-5 going into the second quarter before knotting it up 17-17 at the half.

Chelsea Green led the Lady Tigers with 16 points. Ariel Fuller added 12, Taylor Green and Jasmine Mosby each seven, Ja'Laycia Mills two and Kirstein Oubre one. Morgan McCory led Dutchtown with 11 and LaShon Redditt added 10.

St. John was led by Kamryn Theriot with 16 points. Jessie Brown added 14 and Shelbi Strickland 10.

Independence 47,

Plaquemine 44

Plaquemine led 17-5 going into the second quarter and 28-17 before taking a 35-26 lead into the fourth but were outscored 21-9 in the final frame.

Amber Smith led the Lady Green Devils with 19 points. Kiffani Young added 12 and O'Neisha Batiste five.
