Bulldogs defeat East Iberville in Brusly Tourney

BRUSLY - White Castle High School defeated East Iberville 71-29 in the Brusly Tournament on Thursday.

The Bulldogs (2-6), under coach Troy Green, also fell to St. James 67-62 on Wednesday and Madison Prep 43-41 on Friday in tournament play before defeating the Wildcats 58-52 on Monday.

The Tigers (1-8), under coach Doug Schultz, also fell to Brusly 41-38 in tournament play Wednesday before falling to the Panthers 57-32 on Tuesday.

Samson Westley led White Castle with 17 points against the Tigers. Ja’Tyre Carter added 16, Swayne Edwards 13 and Moses Young 10. Quantae Johnson had seven for East Iberville.

White Castle returns to the court on Thursday when they host Livonia before traveling to Assumption on Monday and participating in the St. James tournament Dec. 19 - 20.

East Iberville will host the Robert H. Grace Invitational Dec. 12-14 before hosting Family Christian on Tuesday. The Tigers open tourney play against Jehovah Jireh on Thursday at 6:45 p.m.

Other teams participating include Brusly, Dutchtown, Dunham, Port Allen, St. James and Family Christian.
