Lady Bulldogs run past Ascension Christian

WHITE CASTLE - White Castle High School defeated Ascension Christian 71-36 in the District 8-1A opener for both teams on Tuesday night at WCHS.

The Lady Bulldogs (9-12, 1-0), under coach Tammy Pierce also defeated Woodlawn 64-44 on Wednesday before falling to West Feliciana 43-37 on Friday. White Castle hosts St. John on Friday and travels to Ascension Catholic Tuesday.

The Lady Bulldogs built a 20-9 lead in the first quarter against Woodlawn before taking a 29-20 halftime lead and extending it to 46-33 heading into the fourth quarter.

Skylar O’Bear had a game-high 30 points for White Castle including two 3-pointers. Shylar O’Bear added 11, Brooke Falcon eight, Alaina Williams and Shane’Quekia Young each six and Ashanti Knight two.
