PLAQUEMINE - Plaquemine Senior High School defensive lineman Davon Godchaux was officially invited to the 2014 U.S. Army All-American Bowl during a presentation of his jersey at the school's gym Nov. 6.

A four-star recruit, Godchaux committed to LSU after tearing his ACL and MCL in the first quarter of the Green Devils' season opener against East Ascension. It marked the first player from Plaquemine selected to the game since Jakouri Williams, who went on to play at Tennessee, played in the game 11 years ago.

Godchaux will attend the January game in San Antonio with Plaquemine coach Paul Distefano.
