It didn't take Etowah athlete Martavious "NyNy" Davis long to find a new collegiate home.

The senior committed to Utah State's football program six days after decommitting from Louisiana.

Davis announced the decision on social media Friday afternoon.

"I would first like to thank the man above for allowing me to further my education and dreams," he said on Facebook. "My family, coaches, friends, community, and Utah State’s coaching staff. I am truly blessed and honored to be going to the next level. One thing I learned is, “What’s for you will always be for you and nobody can stop that but you” and I stand by that. Thank you Utah State!! #GoAggies."

Shortly after Davis decommitted from Louisiana on Jan. 16, he tweeted that he received an offer from Utah State

Davis would be Etowah's fourth Division I signee from the 2021 class, joining Trent Davis (Duke), Ollie Finch (Troy) and Toby Camp (UT Martin).

Davis landed on both The Gadsden Times' 2020 All-Etowah County football team and the Alabama Sports Writers Association Class 4A All-State as a first-team athlete.

The North-South Alabama All-Star totaled 562 yards and three touchdowns on 48 receptions, 68 yards and one touchdown on 14 rushes and one kickoff return for a touchdown his senior season. On defense, Davis had 19 tackles,12 passes broken up, two interceptions with one returned for a touchdown.
