Here's a look at the top Louisiana high school football games in the Shreveport-Bossier City area for Week 7.

GAME OF THE WEEK

Natchitoches Central (6-0, 3-0) at Captain Shreve (6-0, 3-0)

When: 7 p.m., Friday

No one outside of Natchitoches saw NCHS being undefeated at this point, but a big offensive line will challenge the Gators, who were forecast as District 1-5A champs.

Watson’s prediction: Captain Shreve, 30, Natchitoches Central 28

Benton (4-2, 1-2) at Byrd (5-1, 2-1)

When: 7 p.m., Thursday

The Tigers had their chances to knock off Shreve last week and have the Gray Walters firepower to give the Jackets their second loss in the last three games. But Byrd and Mitchell Ramsey should have the upper hand if they correct mistakes from the last game.

Watson’s prediction: Byrd 34, Benton 24

Huntington (5-1, 2-0) vs. Woodlawn (3-3, 0-1), Indy Stadium

When: 7 p.m., Thursday

The Raiders continue to get big games from Kamron Evans and Zyion Claville and will give the Knights fits in this neighborhood rivalry game.

Watson’s prediction: Huntington 42, Woodlawn 18

Evangel (2-4, 1-1) at Northwood (4-2, 1-0)

When: 7 p.m., Thursday

It’s getting harder and harder to predict the outcome of Evangel games, but the same isn’t true for the Falcons, who should rule this one.

Watson’s prediction: Northwood 35, Evangel 18

BENTON KING: Benton's EJ Washington rides to success

Byrd's Lake Lambert runs the ball against Natchitoches Central in their District 1-5A football game Friday.

Magnolia (1-5, 1-4) at Calvary (5-1, 4-0)

When: 7 p.m., Thursday

The Cavaliers are in a situation now where a lot of younger players are seeking turf-time. The Mariners don’t have the firepower to slow them down.

Watson’s prediction: Calvary 50, Magnolia 0

Haughton (3-3, 1-2) at Southwood (0-6, 0-3), Indy Stadium

When: 7 p.m., Friday

Although he only scored one touchdown last week, it was all that was needed by Colin Raines to get past Airline. He should have plenty of opportunity to cash in this week.

Watson’s prediction: Haughton 41, Southwood 12

Airline (1-5, 1-2) at Parkway (3-3, 1-2)

When: 7 p.m., Friday

Both of these teams expected to be 2-1 rather than 1-2 in District 1-5A at this point. At least the winner gets back to 50 percent in the district.

Watson’s prediction: Parkway 21, Airline 14

BTW (3-3, 0-1) at North DeSoto (2-4, 1-0)

When: 7 p.m., Friday

It’s always tough to win at Griffin Stadium, especially when David Atkins and Kentavious Taylor are playing well.

Watson’s prediction: North DeSoto 21, BTW 18

Neville (5-1, 1-0) at Minden (2-4, 0-1)

When: 7 p.m., Friday

The Tide will be hoping for big games from Andrew Cooper to Jaylin Williams to get past the state’s No. 1 ranked Class 4A team.

Watson’s prediction: Neville 38, Minden 14

Bossier (4-2, 1-0) at Loyola (3-3, 1-0)

When: 7 p.m., Friday

This could be a scary game. Over the last two games, the Bearkats have scored 106 points and the Flyers have put up 103. Quarterbacks Carlos Butler and Jacob Lafitte can make things happen.

Watson’s prediction: Loyola 53, Bossier 52

Last Week: 10-0. This season: 51-9 (.850)
