The LHSAA football playoffs start this week and to preview the action, here are 25 players from the Acadiana area to watch in the postseason.

Walker Howard, St. Thomas More: Howard threw for 509 yards and six touchdowns in his return from a fractured fibula that caused him to miss four weeks.

JuJuan Johnson, Lafayette Christian: Johnson, only a sophomore quarterback, has thrown for 1,662 yards.

Jordan Allen, Lafayette Christian: Allen is a three-star defensive back who recently decommitted from Penn State.

Brylan Green, Lafayette Christian: Green is a three-star cornerback committed to Liberty to play football and baseball.

Britt Campbell, Ascension Episcopal: Campbell is one of the statewide leaders in receiving yards and quarterback Cade Dardar's favorite weapon.

Cade Dardar, Ascension Episcopal: Dardar, the quarterback at Ascension, has thrown for over 1,900 yards.

Maxie Baudoin IV, Ascension Episcopal: Baudoin is a three-star defensive lineman garnering interest from Auburn, Florida and Georgia.

Omiri Wiggins, Acadiana: Wiggins has rushed for 535 yards over the last three weeks.

Walter Bob, Acadiana: Bob is a four-star recruit who committed to Alabama just hours after receiving an offer from the Crimson Tide.

Blake Saddler, Abbeville: Saddler ran for 1,750 yards and 18 touchdowns.

Preston Welch, Teurlings Catholic: A sophomore quarterback, Welch threw for 2,271 yards.

Kentrell Prejean, Teurlings Catholic: Prejean is an explosive wide receiver who had 1,050 receiving yards and nine touchdowns.

Calep Jacob, Loreauville: Jacob, a senior quarterback, has been a dangerous dual-threat, throwing for 1,159 yards and rushing for 1,050 while also playing defense.

Tylon Citizen, Church Point: Performances like last weeks for Citizen, rushing for 224 yards and four touchdowns, haven't been uncommon.

Alex Soileau, Cecilia: Soileau is a three-year starter at quarterback and the veteran engine for Cecilia's lethal attack. He threw for 227 yards and two touchdowns last week.

Germonie Davis, Cecilia: Davis is one of the statewide leaders in receiving yards and has an offer from Florida State.

Jaylon John, Carencro: John averaged 6 yards per carry and recently started taking snaps as the Bears' quarterback.

Jordan Doucet, Westgate: Doucet caught a touchdown pass, threw for a score and ran a third in himself last week. He recently committed to playing football at Southeastern Louisiana University.

Derek Williams, Westgate: Williams is a four-star recruit who plays safety, returns kicks and occasionally takes snaps as a running back.

Danny Lewis Jr., Westgate: Lewis is a big 6-foot-5 tight end who is committed to Cincinnati and is deployed in multiple roles on Westgate's offense.

Harvey Broussard, St. Martinville: Alabama, Clemson, Southern Cal and Georgia have expressed interest in the three-star junior wide receiver.

Tanner Harrison, St. Martinville: Harrison is a dual-threat quarterback with excellent touch and accuracy on deep passes.

Lucas Simon, Notre Dame: Simon is the Pioneers' most consistent running back while also serving a the team's placekicker.

Chris Brown, Opelousas Catholic: Brown has seven interceptions while also being the Vikings' most dangerous weapon on offense.
