Top performers in Shreveport-Bossier City area football for Sept. 8-9

Here's a look at the top performers in football from Thursday and Friday night in the Shreveport-Bossier City area for Sept. 8-9.

Jaylan White, Parkway: White compiled 217 yards rushing and receiving with two touchdowns.

John Lewis, North DeSoto: Lewis rushed for 209 yards and four TDs for the Griffins.

Omarion Miller, North Caddo: Miller had over 200 receiving yards, while adding a 65-yard TD run and a 54-yard TD reception.

Kam Evans, Huntington: Evans passed for 378 yards and three touchdowns against Byrd.

Lake Lambert, Byrd: Lambert rushed 15 times for 190 yards and two TDs, including one from 95 yards out, while completing 6-of-6 passes for 79 yards.

Elyjay Curry, Homer: Curry rushed with 17 carries and 198 yard and four touchdowns against Minden.

Ashton Martin, Parkway: Martin had a part in scoring four touchdowns in a win over Red River.

BYRD BACK: Byrd's Josh Allen has surgery Friday and attends game

LHSAA DENIAL: The LHSAA denies the Caddo Parish appeal for Select, Non-Select

Trey Holly, Union Parish: Holly scored four times in a win over Airline.

Colin Rains, Haughton: Rains passed for two scores, ran for another and had 174 passing yards in a win over LaGrange.

Landon Falls, North DeSoto: Falls converted all nine PATs and scored a touchdown against Center.

Cole Cory, North DeSoto: Cory returned a kick 98 yards for a score.

Dison Poirier, Byrd: Poirier rushed 16 times for 144 yards and a TD, averaging 9.0 yards per carry.

Jeremiah James, Many: James scored three times on the ground as Many ran away from DeRidder.

Dyson Fields, Ruston: Fields ran 33 times for 144 yards and a touchdown for the Bearkats against Jesuit.

Brayden Stovall, Haughton: Stovall picked up a LaGrange fumble and ran 99 yards for a TD. He recovered a second fumble.

Jake Smith, Rosepine: Smith tossed a trio of TD passes and had 196 passing yards.

Jayden Edwards, Captain Shreve: Edwards compiled 192 rushing yards on 37 carries and three scores against Calvary.

Leonard Mosley, Red River: Mosley rushed eight times for 92 yards.
