Lady Devils place six on 6-4A all-District softball first team

PLAQUEMINE - Plaquemine Senior High School advanced to the postseason for the fifth consecutive year and won a postseason game for the first time in four years this season..  

The Lady Devils finished the season 17-10  overall and were 4-2 in district play under coach Mary Gaye David to finish runners-up. Plaquemine fell to quarterfinalist Ursuline Academy in the regionals.

Junior pitcher Mallory Perrault was recently selected to the first team and joined by teammates junior third baseman Mia Johnson, junior utility players Kameryn Fairchild and Kristyn Fairchild, freshmen catcher Hope Spencer and freshmen second baseman Amber Granger.

Selected to the second team from Plaquemine was freshmen outfielder Madison Hebert.

 Avarie Loupe and Blake J. Orgeron of district champion Lutcher were selected Most Valuable Player and Coach of the Year.
