Plaquemine competes in Capital City Swim League

BATON ROUGE - Plaquemine Senior High School’s swim team competed in the Capital City Swim League meet on Saturday morning at Crawfish Aquatics.

The Green Devils are coached by Martin Millien and Tara Shamsie.

Maddie Zeringue placed third in the girls’ 100-yard backstroke in 1:16.68 and was 10th in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 1:10.18, while Grace Sanchez was seventh in 1:05.59. Sanchez was also seventh in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:25.59.

Joshua Boudreaux was fourth in the boys’ 100-yard breaststroke finishing in 1:15.10, while Timothy Dean took eighth in the boys 100-yard freestyle finishing in 57.55 and John Hestand  was  ninth in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 25.63.

Also competing for Plaquemine were Caroline Zeringue, Bailey Vidrine, Hunter LeJeune, Gage Vidrine, Nathan Allen, Jacob Allen, Jake Morgan, Donald Jones, Hayden Morales, Sam Hestand, Nico Anzaldua and Noel Anzaldua.
