Walters wins singles tennis title

Attending the LHSAA state tennis tournament in Monroe April 29-30 is from left, Bro Bradford, Donna Bradford, West Feliciana High School Tennis coach Wallace Ferguson, Jesslyn Collins, Basia Walters, Heather Walters, Chuck Walters and Jill Walters. Basia Walters, a sophomore at West Feliciana, won the Division III girls singles tennis title for the second year in a row. She is the daughter of Chuck and Heather Walters of St. Francisville, the granddaughter of Chris Walters of Baton Rouge, Jill Walters of Baton Rouge and Bro and Donna Bradford of Plaquemine and the great granddaughter of Peter A. Palermo of Plaquemine.
