PHS' Williams double winner at Scotlandville meet

SCOTLANDVILLE – Plaquemine sprinter Tori Williams was a double winner at the Scotlandville Tip Off Meet.

The Lady Green Devils also got first-place finishes from Destiny Johnson, Tatyanna Jones and Jernasha Collins.

Team scores were not taken.

Williams won the 100-meter dash in 12.27 and the 200-meter run in 25.48. Plaquemine's 4x100 meter relay team also won in 50.83.

Johnson won the triple jump with a leap of 34-4, while Jones took the shot put with a hurl of 32-10 and Collins won the javelin with a throw of 122-6.

Alissa Williams placed second in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.55 and Nariko Gillis was second in the 1,600 meter run crossing in 6:05.22. Asia Nelson was third in the javelin with a throw of 73-10.

On the boys side, Hakeem Deggs placed second in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.79 and was third in the 100-meter dash crossing in 11.31.
