BATON ROUGE - St. John the Evangelist defeated Redemptorist 25-7, 25-7, 25-10 on Wednesday and Cecilia 25-21, 27-25, 22-25, 15-9 on Thursday.

The Lady Eagles (11-4), under coach Chase Mancuso, opened District 3-V play at Ascension Catholic Wednesday before hosting Catholic-Pointe Coupee Monday.

Kaycee Keller led the Lady Eagles with seven kills and five aces against Redemptortist. Claire Pearce had 19 assists, eight aces and three kills, while Emily Delahaye had six kills and one block and Victoria Weaver had three kills, four aces and three digs.

Keri Yarbrough led the Lady Eagles against Cecilia with 16 kills, two blocks and three digs. Payton Passantino had 10 kills and three digs, Keller eight kills, three blocks and five digs, Weaver nine kills, five aces and five digs.

Maddison Pitre had 32 assists and nine digs, while Carlee Smith had 14 digs and Alex Carbo 13 digs.
