PHS drops Broadmoor, WCHS defeats PCC
PLAQUEMINE - Plaquemine defeated Broadmoor 25-13, 26-24, 22-25, 25-14 on Oct. 9 and Belaire 25-21, 24-26, 25-11, 25-22 on Tuesday in District 4-II play, while White Castle dropped Pointe Coupee Central 26-24, 25-14, 25-19 on Oct. 8 before falling to Catholic-Pointe Coupee 19-25, 13-25, 15-25 on Monday in District 3-V play.
The Lady Green Devils (15-12, 3-5), under coach John Badeaux, were led by Darylniece Tillman with 10 kills and four aces against Broadmoor. Amber Harris added 10 kills and Mia Johnson six, while Heather Honore had 16 assists and Oneisha Batiste 13. Rachel Ellis had four blocks.
Tillman had 10 kills against Belaire, while Harris added eight, Honore six and 16 assists and Johnson five. Batiste had 11 assists and Kameron Landry four aces.
The Lady Bulldogs (12-12, 3-3), under coach Tammy Pierce, were led by Skylar O’Bear against PCC with 14 kills and 15 digs. Shylar O’Bear had 20 assists and 17 digs, while Ariel Bell had nine kills and five aces and JaKayla Washington provided eight digs.
