Lady Devils fall to Live Oak, Central in 4-II

PLAQUEMINE - Plaquemine Senior High School fell to Live Oak 23-25, 24-26, 17-25 on Thursday and Central 25-23, 18-25, 16-25, 15-25 on Tuesday in District 4-II play.

The Lady Green Devils (15-14, 3-7), under coach John Badeaux, face St. Michael the Archangel Thursday and St. John on Tuesday.

"We have a tough schedule to finish the season but we are playing real well," Badeaux said. "If we continue to compete as we have, I think we can make some noise in the playoffs if we get in."

Darylniece Tillman led the Lady Devils with seven kills and five blocks against Central. Mia Johnson added six kills and eight digs.

Oneisha Batiste (nine digs, five assists), Heather Honore (14 assists, two aces) and Amber Harris (two aces) each had three kills, Kameron Landry 10 digs, Rachel Ellis two blocks and Courtney Leonard three digs.

Johnson had seven kills, nine digs, three blocks and two aces against Live Oak. Tillman added four kills and two blocks and Batiste had two kills, 10 digs, four assists and two aces.

Honore had 11 assists and two aces, Landry 11 digs, Harris three kills, Ellis two blocks and one kill and Kayla Landry four digs.
