Lady Green Devils handle Leesville, advance to second round of playoffs

Plaquemine High Lady Green Devils volleyball team put on an impressive performance Wednesday, November 5 when they beat visiting Leesville High in four sets.

Darylniece Tillman led the team with 21 kills and 21 assists.  Mia Johnson racked up 12 kills, 3 digs an ace and a block and Kameron Landry totaled 18 digs and a couple of aces.  The match was tight in all four sets, but PHS took the first 25-19, dropped the second 19-25, and stole away the third and fourth 25-13, 25-19, respectively.

The Lady Devils now advance to the second round of the playoffs when they visit Assumption High on Monday, November 10. 

White Castle High is set to host Ascension Christian tonight, Thursday, November 6 in their first-round matchup, and hope to follow suit to PHS and advance to Monday playtime.  

St. John High received a first-round bye and automatically advanced to Monday play when they will host St. Martin's Episcopal.
