HONOLULU - New Orleans Saints guards Ben Grubbs and Jahri Evans will be protecting quarterback Drew Brees in the Pro Bowl as Brees and team captain Jerry Rice selected the Saints duo for Team Rice on the first day of the NFL's all-star game draft Tuesday.

For the first time, the Pro Bowl is “unconferenced,” with Pro Football Hall of Famers Deion Sanders and Rice serving as team captains.

Brees, Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles, St. Louis Rams defensive end Robert Quinn and Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt will serve as honorary captains.

Brees and Quinn will be part of Team Rice and Charles and Watt will be members of Team Sanders.

Centers, guards, interior defensive linemen, fullbacks and specialists were selected Tuesday.

Tight end Jimmy Graham and defensive end Cameron Jordan found out who they are playing for Wednesday night when quarterbacks, running backs, wide receivers, tight ends, tackles, defensive ends, linebackers and defensive backs were drafted.

Fans can track the Pro Bowl Draft live on their phone, tablet or computer before, during and after the draft on NFL.com/probowldraft.

The Pro Bowl will be played Sunday, Jan.26 and will be televised live on NBC at 6 p.m from Aloha Stadium.

For the first time, players were selected without regard to conference in voting by fans, coaches and players.
