St. Francis Xavier competes in Catholic High tourney

BATON ROUGE – St. Francis Xavier Catholic School’s seventh grade basketball team, under coach Wilbert J. Wilson, competed in the Catholic High 7th Grade Tournament recently.

St. Francis fell to Live Oak 44-22 before defeating Sacred Heart 34-11 and falling to St. George 32-27.

Eldred Jackson averaged 13 points, six rebounds and eight steals, while Za’heem Jackson averaged seven points, two rebounds and seven steals, Keith Singleton averaged six points, 10 rebounds and two steal and Jared Eaglin averaged 10 rebounds.

Other players include Me’Kyle Dillon, Bryce Biagas, Mark Heard, Jasen Warren and Larry Lewis.

The seventh grade team plays in the Catholic School Athletic Association eighth grade division.
