Oceania Cruises opens sales for Vista's inaugural season, sets new record for single-day bookings
There are plenty of people itching to get back to cruising, according to Oceania Cruises.
While the earlier record was for a full season of sailings across six ships, the latest record was driven by the introduction of a new premium ship, Vista, that has itineraries set for just part of 2023, according to a news release.
"The tremendous wave of bookings we saw on the day we opened sales for Vista underscores the extraordinary demand for our acclaimed small ship, destination focused vacations," Oceania President and CEO Bob Binder said in the release.
Vista opened up sales for its inaugural season on Wednesday at 9 a.m. The number of bookings had surpassed Oceania's previous record one-and-a-half hours later.
The ship is set to have 18 voyages between April 2023 and November 2023, each between 10 and 24 days long. Popular destinations include the British Isles and Canada, the Mediterranean, Holy Lands and Panama Canal.
Fares range from $5,299 to $32,199 per guest, with room sizes starting at 270 square feet and going up to more than 2,400 square feet.
